Meet your 2026-2028 At Large Representative Candidates
Alison is a WIC Nutritionist with a strong foundation in food security, nutrition, and community engagement. Her background is supported by volunteer experience across multiple settings. Her work at Sixteenth Street Community Health Center has provided insight into the diverse needs of Wisconsin families, the value of outreach, and the opportunities and challenges created by technological advancements within WIC. Alison seeks to join the WWA Board to contribute a participant-centered perspective, strengthen program accessibility and engagement, and collaborate with colleagues statewide to advance WIC services.
Brooke has served with Brown County WIC for over 2 years and is currently working as a Nutritionist and newly appointed Breastfeeding Coordinator. Brooke brings a strong commitment to supporting families and improving access to essential resources. With her WIC experience, she possesses a clear understanding of both the challenges faced by participants and the positive impact of WIC services. Brooke seeks to join the WWA Board to contribute her frontline perspective, support informed decision‑making, and help advance WIC programs across Wisconsin.
Kristina has served for 11 years as the WIC Director and Nutrition Coordinator for Waupaca County, bringing extensive experience in program administration, advocacy, and statewide collaboration, including eight years on the WWA Board in multiple leadership roles. Her work with local coalitions and the Waupaca Farmers Market has strengthened her skills in governance, project management, and community food access. Kristina seeks to rejoin the WWA Board to advance advocacy efforts, support WIC modernization, and further strengthen partnerships that enhance nutrition services across Wisconsin.
The governing body of WWA includes an eleven-member Board of Directors consisting of one representative from each region and six At-Large members. Any active individual or agency member is eligible to serve on the Board of Directors.
The Board of Directors elects the Executive Committee, which includes, two Co-Chairpersons, two Co-Treasurers and a Secretary. All board members assume office at the conclusion of the Fall board meeting and hold office through the Fall board meeting of the following year. Both past and new members of the board attend the Fall board meeting.
Regional representatives are elected by members of their respective region for a two-year term.
Northern, Western, & Southern Representatives are elected in even years.
Northeastern and Southeastern Representatives are elected in odd years.
At-large members are appointed for a two-year term and are elected from the full membership via voting.
Three at-large members are elected each year.
To maintain order and credibility as an association, WWA continues to operate by abiding by the rules and principles listed in our WWA Bylaws. Our bylaws are reviewed and updated every two years; the next review will be in 2026. All WWA members have a voice when it comes to reviewing the WWA Bylaws. The Wisconsin WIC Association’s Strategic Plan outlines the organization’s priorities and goals for advancing its mission. The WWA Board reviews the plan annually to assess progress and guide future initiatives. View the current three-year Strategic Plan (January 1, 2025 – December 31, 2027).
