Being a member of the Wisconsin WIC Association means being part of a statewide network of professionals who are dedicated to strengthening WIC programs, supporting one another’s professional growth, and advocating for the health and well-being of Wisconsin families.

Dues
All local Wisconsin WIC agency staff are proudly recognized as members of both the Wisconsin WIC Association and the National WIC Association, with membership costs generously supported by the State WIC Office.
Get Involved!
Members can get involved by serving on a committee, running for the board during summer elections, partnering with WWA to host a local advocacy event at their WIC office, or applying for a scholarship to support continuing education.
Additional opportunities throughout the year may include t-shirt design contests and networking events.
Newsletters
The Wisconsin WIC Association distributes quarterly newsletters to keep members informed about association updates, initiatives, and opportunities.

Committees
Member Connection
The connection committee oversees strategic communications to promote the WWA’s mission and purpose. The committee provides guidance and the implementation of the communications functions of the website, social media, and other communication avenues to promote and market WWA actions and WIC news.
Professional Development
The Professional Development Committee provides training opportunities for nutrition professionals to support a competent WIC workforce. The committee advocates for CDR continuing education credits at WWA and statewide WIC events, facilitates qualified speakers, represents the mission of WWA during state conference planning, and provides a session that fulfills the ethics requirement mandated by ACEND.
Advocacy
The advocacy committee focuses on educating WWA members on how to best advocate for WIC, provide opportunities for WIC staff to advocate, document advocacy efforts and develop and maintain advocacy partnerships with organizations that have similar missions.
